ECNL GIRLS ALUMNI CONTINUE TO DOMINATE NCAA POWER FIVE CONFERENCES
-Two-Thirds of Rostered Players are ECNL Girls Alumni-
RICHMOND, Va. (November 10, 2021) – On the first day of college signing for the upcoming fall season, ECNL Girls is celebrating the incredible impact that the league’s alumni had in the Power 5 Conferences during the 2021 season. This season, the Power Five conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12 and SEC) featured more than 1,175 ECNL athletes, making up more than two-thirds of all Power Five rostered players. The more than 1,175 ECNL Girls alumni and 66 percent of all rostered players are the highest marks in league history.
ACC
- More than 300 ECNL athletes, the largest of any conference
- 75% of all players are ECNL alums, the highest percentage of any conference
Big Ten
- More than 225 ECNL athletes
- 56% of all players are ECNL alums
Big 12
- More than 200 ECNL athletes
- 70% of all players are ECNL alums
Pac 12
- More than 200 ECNL athletes
- 60% of all players are ECNL alums
SEC
- More than 250 ECNL athletes
- 70% of all players are ECNL alums
Beyond the regular season, the 2021 NCAA Women’s College Cup is filled with ECNL alumni as well. The ACC, the conference with the highest number of ECNL alumni overall, paces all college conferences with nine teams competing in the College Cup, including three of the four No. 1 seeds. With more than 500 ECNL alumni competing for Power Five teams in the College Cup this season, the ECNL continues to demonstrate its proven pathway from the league to elite collegiate programs and then beyond.
