It all comes down to this.
After a fantastic showing at the ECNL Girls National Playoffs, which saw a record number of players, teams, collegiate coaches and fans attend the largest ECNL event in history, it’s time for the ECNL Girls National Finals.
Starting with as many as 32 teams in the Champions League and many more in the North American, Showcase A and B and Open Cups, those numbers have been whittled down to as many as eight and as few as four, all searching to become the team that lifts the National Championship trophy.
With games kicking off Saturday, below is information on each team competing in the National Finals for each age group, their path to Richmond, and what can be expected from them this weekend.
Schedules for the National Finals, along with matchups for each age group, can be found here.
Along with deciding National Champions for each of the age groups, Richmond is also where the ECNL Girls Overall Club Championship will be awarded. Right now, the race is between two teams: LAFC Slammers and Solar SC.
Both LAFC Slammers and Solar SC had four of five eligible teams qualify for the National Finals, setting up an exciting race that will come down to the very end.
