GIRLS ECNL ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH TECHNE FUTBOL
RICHMOND, VA (April 2, 2019) – The Girls Elite Clubs National League, the nation’s premier female youth soccer platform, has partnered with Techne Futbol, a training app for players to master technique and take ownership of their development in individual training outside of the team environment.
Techne Futbol provides creative individual training videos with activities to improve technique with the ball, adding new activities every week. Players can track their progress, set personal goals, compete with others across the country, and monitor their improvement over time.
“The Girls ECNL is proud to partner with Techne Futbol to offer players in our clubs a valuable resource to take their technical game to a higher level,” said Girls ECNL Commissioner Jen Winnagle. “The ability to easily access exercises to refine technique and challenge personal technical limits, with measurable data and friendly competition, sets Techne apart. I am excited to see the impact within the Girls ECNL and beyond.”
“The ambitious and dedicated players who are part of the ECNL were certainly central to my thought process as I created Techne Futbol,” said Techne Founder, Yael Averbuch. “I’m very proud to partner with this organization and to work directly with these players and clubs, who are focused on striving for excellence. I can’t wait to get going with this relationship and for the Techne app to be part of the amazing developmental platform that ECNL already provides.”
Girls ECNL players, and Girls ECNL clubs, will receive a special discounted rate for a Techne subscription, with opportunities to interact with Techne staff and be featured in monthly testimonials across the brand’s social media channels.

About Techne Futbol: Techne Futbol is an individual training app, launched in 2016, for players of all ages and levels. Techne was created and is owned by long-time professional player, Yael Averbuch, and includes her own training concepts, as well as those from players and coaches across the U.S. and the world. Through video and written instruction, as well as ways to track progress, the app aims to put skill development back in the hands of the players. While the training can all be done individually, requiring minimal space and equipment, Techne aims to foster community through the use of competitive leaderboards. The Techne app is a subscription-based service, available on iOS and Android devices.
