The 2018 ECNL College Impact – Pac-12 Conference
RICHMOND, VA (November 8, 2018) – For the fourth consecutive year, ECNL alums constitute the majority of women’s collegiate soccer players in the Pac-12. In 2018, ECNL Alums make up more than 60% of the entire Pac-12, and over 80% of the conference’s individual honorees. The ECNL College Impact on the Pac-12, one of the top soccer conferences in the country, is overwhelming and continues to increase every year.
Ten years ago, the Girls ECNL transformed the landscape for girls’ soccer and began a movement that would impact all levels of women’s soccer. The ECNL College Impact catalogs the incredible impact ECNL Alums have on collegiate women’s soccer conferences across the country every year.
The ECNL College Impact for the Pac-12 Conference includes all players currently active on Pac-12 rosters:
- 215 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Pac-12 Conference, over 60% of the players in the entire conference.
- 10 players from the Pac-12 First and Second Team are ECNL Alums and 8 of the 11 players from the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team are ECNL Alums.
- The Pac-12 Forward of the Year is ECNL Alum and October 2017 S’Hero Catarina Macario.
- Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year (Jordan DiBiasi), Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year (Alana Cook), Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year (Kaylie Collins) and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year (Penelope Hocking) are ECNL Alums.
The Pac-12 includes the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of California, University of Colorado, University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Stanford University, University of California Los Angeles, University of Southern California, University of Utah, University of Washington, and Washington State University.
