The ECNL College Impact – Southland Conference

RICHMOND, VA (November 20, 2017) – The ECNL College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact of ECNL Alums on collegiate women’s soccer every year. In 2017, once again, ECNL Alums are dominating the landscape in conferences all over the country.

The ECNL College Impact for the Southland Conference includes all players currently active on Southland rosters:

  • 168 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Southland – 55% of the Freshmen in the Southland are ECNL alums.
  • 6 out of the 11 players on the All-Southland First Team are ECNL Alums.
  • The Southland Defender of the Year (Gabi D’Alesandro) Southland Goalkeeper of the Year (Emma Roccaforte) and the Southland Freshman Player of the Year (Christina Arteaga) are ECNL Alums. 

The Southland Conference includes Abilene Christian University, University of Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist University, University of Incarnate Word, Lamar University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Sam Houston State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.
