ECNL College Impact – The Southwestern Athletic Conference

RICHMOND, VA (November 28, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.

The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

The ECNL College Impact for the Southwestern Athletic Conference includes all players currently active on SWAC rosters:

  • 34 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the SWAC.
  • 8 players on the All-SWAC First and Second Teams are ECNL Alums.
  • The SWAC Defensive Player of the Year, Kendall Hamilton, is an ECNL Alum.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference includes Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Alcorn State University, Jackson State University, Mississippi Valley State University, University Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Grambling State University, Prairie View A&M University, Southern University Baton Rouge, Texas Southern University and Howard University.
