ECNL College Impact – The Mountain West Conference
RICHMOND, VA (November 21, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.
The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Mountain West Conference.
The ECNL College Impact for the Mountain West Conference includes all players currently active on Mountain West rosters:
- 161 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Mountain West Conference – nearly 53% of the Freshmen in the Mountain West Conference are ECNL alums.
- 14 players of the Mountain West honorees are ECNL Alums – including 54% of the players on the Mountain West All-Newcomer Team are ECNL Alums
- The Mountain West Newcomer of the Year, Raimee Sherle, is an ECNL Alum.
The Mountain West Conference includes the Air Force Academy, Boise State University, California State University Fresno, Colorado College, Colorado State University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Nevada Reno, University of New Mexico, San Diego State University, San Jose State University, Utah State University of Nevada and University Wyoming.
