ECNL College Impact – The Big West Conference

RICHMOND, VA (November 12, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.

The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Big West Conference.

The ECNL College Impact for the Big West Conference includes all players currently active on Big West rosters:

  • 129 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Big West Conference.
  • The Big West Defensive Player of the Year, Nicole Thompson, is a ECNL Alum.
  • 11 players from the Big West First and Second Teams are ECNL Alums- including nearly 50% of the Big West First Team.

The Big West Conference includes California Polytechnic State University, California State University Fullerton, California State University Long Beach, California State University Northridge, University of California Davis, University of California Irvine, University of California Riverside, University of California Santa Barbara and University of Hawaii.
