ECNL College Impact – The Big South Conference

RICHMOND, VA (November 2, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.

The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Big South Conference.

The ECNL College Impact for the Big South Conference includes all players currently active on Big South rosters:

  • 76 ECNL alumni are currently playing in the Big South Conference.
  • There were 54 ECNL alums in the 2016 Big South freshman class, one-third of the class.
  • 12 players of the 2016 Big South Conference Honorees are ECNL alums.
  • The Big South Freshman Player of the Year (Gabby Farrell) is an ECNL alum.

The Big South Conference includes Campbell University, Charleston Southern University, Gardner-Webb University, High Point University, Liberty University, Longwood University, Presbyterian College, Radford University, University of North Carolina at Asheville, and Winthrop University.
