ECNL Players All Over the U20 Women’s World Cup Roster

RICHMOND, VA (October 17, 2016) – Players competing in the ECNL and developed by ECNL member clubs have dominated American female youth national teams for the past several years.  Currently in its 8th season, the ECNL’s impact on youth national team rosters is stronger than ever, speaking volumes about the player development and competition platform provided by the league.  With this rising generation of youth players celebrated by many as some of the best ever in the American youth game, the ECNL celebrates their accomplishments as the league continues its efforts to ‘Raise The Game’ in the United States moving forward.

The U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in Papua New Guinea from November 13 through December 3, 2016. The USA roster for the 2016 U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup was announced last week with 21 players who will attempt to bring the title back to the United States. ECNL players and alumni account for 15 of the 21 players on the roster:
