ECNL Announces the Newest Face in The Zone

Kinzinger1October 22, 2015 (RICHMOND, VA) – The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) announced today the addition of Kelly McQuade Kinzinger to “The Zone”.  Launched in November 2014 in conjunction with the Amazing Young Women movement, The Zone is a health and wellness resource and destination created specifically to meet the needs of elite teen female athletes.

Kinzinger will be onsite during ECNL National Events to teach and reinforce best practices for maintaining peak performance before, during and after competition as she leads teams through pre and post-competition routines.  She will provide ECNL players with the tools and tips to reinforce strong health habits to take with them as they continue their playing career, making The Zone the primary destination for ECNLers to connect, recharge and learn.

Kinzinger has always been attracted to fitness, beginning with her involvement with organized youth sports at an early age, which continued, through her adolescent life.  She was an NCAA Division I dual-sport student-athlete, playing field hockey and lacrosse at The College of William & Mary, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology in 2004.  In addition to earning All-CAA honors, she received national recognition during her playing career as a National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) Weight Lifting All-American, becoming the first woman to earn this honor at William & Mary.

Upon graduation, she became an Assistant Coach for both field hockey and lacrosse at William and Mary, growing with the sports that brought her there.  After two years Kinzinger was named the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where, after three months she was promoted to Head Field Hockey Coach. Kinzinger served as the head coach for five years, leading her team to tie the school record for most wins and receiving the Colonial Athletic Association “Coach of the Year” Award.

Her passion for coaching and fitness intertwined to create Zinger Fit in June 2012. Zinger Fit is a women’s only personal and small group training facility located in Richmond, Virginia.  Kinzinger is a Certified Personal Trainer, earning her certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  She has been involved in personal training at all levels and is now focusing her attention on empowering and improving women’s lives through exercise.
