(December 16, 2014) – The 2014-15 ECNL season is dedicated to celebrating the Amazing Young Women that have helped mold this league into the top female youth soccer platform in the world.  As part of the campaign, ECNL is encouraging amazing young women to share their stories.  Elizabeth “Lizzy” Sieracki is the captain of the Concorde Fire ECNL U17 team.  A current 2016 graduate committed to the University of Virginia, where she will continue her soccer career.  The ECNL caught up with Lizzy to learn more about her both on and off the field.

Q: What is your nickname?
A: Happy

Q: How long have you been playing soccer?
A: 13 years (since I was 4)

Q: PB&J or Grilled Cheese?
A: Grilled Cheese

Q: If you could be in any Reality TV Show, which one would you choose and why?
A: So you think you can dance. I think I can dance, but really I can’t. Just ask my team, it’s rough.

Q: What three words would you use to describe yourself?
A: competitive, happy, and energetic

Q: Who is your soccer idol?
A: Kelley O’Hara

Q: What is your favorite color?
A: red or blue, depending on the day

Q: Describe your fondest ECNL memory thus far:
A: Making it to the ECNL finals in Richmond during 2013

Q: If you could have lunch with anyone (dead or alive), who would you choose and why?
A: Sage Steele-ESPN anchor, because I want to work for ESPN one day and I could learn a lot from her.

A: Neymar

Q: What is your favorite quote?

Q: Have you ever traveled outside of the country for soccer?
A: Yes, to Costa Rica with the region III team

Q:  Do you have any siblings?
A: Yes, an older brother, Ryne

Q: What is something that most people do not know about you?
A: I was an all star baseball player when I was younger

Q: If you could have one super power, what would you choose?
A: Become invisible whenever I want

Q: What is your favorite holiday, and why?
A: Christmas because of the cookies

A: Bugs freak me out

A: She’s the Man!

Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of soccer?
A: school and soccer = life

A: Otter’s Chicken

Q: The ECNL prepared me for __________.
A: facing a higher competition of players when I get to college and that you must train at a high level to see improvement.
