The ECNL Encourages Players To Get In “The Zone”

RICHMOND, Va (November 13, 2014) – The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) is announcing the launch of “The Zone” – a health and wellness resource and destination created specifically to meet the unique needs of elite teen female athletes.  ECNL’s The Zone is designed to help young female athletes maintain peak performance, experience new recovery and rejuvenation protocols, and learn to better manage the demands of top-level athletic training and competition.

The Zone will make its first appearance on November 14, 2014 at the ECNL National Event in Phoenix, AZ at Reach 11 Sports Complex and is part of the ECNL’s Amazing Young WomenTM campaign providing female-focused health, wellness and developmental platforms specifically for elite youth female athletes as they define their individual paths to success.

“Players don’t just grab orange slices after a game and stop being athletes,” explained Kate Noftsinger, ECNL Commissioner.  “Today’s female athletes are pushing themselves like never before, and The Zone will help them learn how to maintain their high standards of performance over time in a healthy, comprehensive way.”

The Zone includes both a physical and digital component.

Onsite: The Zone Pop-up Tour Locations

The Zone will tour the nation making stops at every ECNL National Event in the 2014-2015 season to teach and reinforce best practices for maintaining peak performance before, during and after competition.  Onsite, players will be able to participate in all phases of high-level athletic preparation –receiving and learning pre-competition taping techniques, having access to pre and post-competition nutrition, learning improved recovery protocols, and hearing leadership lessons from former players.  The Zone is a destination for players to connect, recharge and learn.  The Zone Tour locations:

Players will have the opportunity to hear and engage with former players, share onsite experiences through personal social media handles, and submit nominations for the next Amazing Young Women to be highlighted in the AYW Campaign.
