ECNL Announces 2013 ECNL/id2 National Training Camp at Nike World Headquarters

RICHMOND, VA (May 22, 2013): The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and US Club Soccer have announced that the 2013 ECNL / idNational Training Camp will take place August 2-6, 2013 at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

At the camp, approximately 100 of the top female soccer players born between 1995-1998 from across the United States will come together for three full days of elite training, competition, and presentations at one of the world’s most premier athletic facilities, where U.S. Soccer staff will scout players for potential inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team Programs.

The 2013 ECNL / idNational Training Camp is a joint effort between the ECNL, U.S. Club Soccer’s id2 National Player Identification and Development Program, and Nike. The camp is open to all players regardless of U.S. Soccer affiliation, or lack thereof.  Olympic Development Program status applies to all id2 Program events, including the 2013 ECNL / idNational Training Camp.

Throughout the year, players are scouted across the country for the ECNL / idNational Training Camp.  Selections are based on performance in ECNL competitions, the ECNL/idPDPs, and other competitions. Aside from travel to and from the camp, there are no costs for participation in the ECNL/id2 National Training Camp. Staffing, lodging, meals, and training gear are provided by the ECNL and Nike.

Participants will have the opportunity to play with and against the best athletes in the country.   Lead by an elite coaching staff, players will have the unique opportunity to further develop their skills and catch the eye of U.S. National Team Scouts. Athletes will enjoy on and off the field experiences shared only by the highest level of athletes in the country.

More details on the schedule, participants and other events surrounding the camp will be released in the coming months.
